Few stories in the “echo chamber” of the mainstream media comprehensively critique Barack Obama’s policies. Some may point to his relatively high approval rating at large to explain the journalistic timidity. Regardless of how the majority of Americans feel, it is the responsibility of the media to investigate and challenge those in office, even if it means lending an ear to arguments that are complex and unpopular.
